What is the Horatio Alger Association Scholarship?
The Scholarship Association is committed to providing financial assistance through a scholarship for students to study at the institution of their choice and achieve their dreams. This scholarship is sponsored by The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. Horatio Alger Association founded in 1947 is a nonprofit organization based in Alexandria, Virginia. However, it was founded to honor the achievements of outstanding Americans who have succeeded in spite of adversity and to emphasize the importance of higher education. Meanwhile, the association is named for Horatio Alger, a 19th-century author of hundreds of dime novels in the “rags-to-riches” genre, extolling the importance of perseverance and hard work. Hence, the association gives the annual Award to exemplars of its ideals. It also grants scholarships and describes itself as the largest provider of need-based scholarships in the United States. All scholarships are funded by the generosity of the members of the Horatio Alger Association.

The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans is dedicated to the powerful belief that hard work, honesty, and determination can conquer all obstacles. Hence they are offering Horatio Alger State Scholarships that are funded through the generosity of the Association’s Members, Life Partners, and Friends of the Association. However, the Horatio Alger program is open to supporting promising young people with the resources and confidence needed to overcome adversity and pursue their dreams through higher education. Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship
Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program is created by The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. To be applying for the scholarship applicants will be enrolled in the eligible program in fall 2021 and under the age of 30. However, the scholarship is designed to support deserving young people overcome their adversity and pursue their dreams through higher education. 1020 awards each of $2,500 will be given to the deserving candidates.
